PHOTOGROUP

A Photogroup Designed To Inspire You

We are a group of amateur and professional photographers seeking to hone our photography skills by getting out there, taking pictures and learning from each other.
Weekly assignments are due each Sunday.
You may submit up to 3 photos per assignment, and they will be posted as they come in.
Please feel free to comment on submissions with your friendly critiques and suggestions.

Because we are attempting to continuously improve our photography skills, this is not a site to post our archive photos: wedding pictures, your vacation travelogues or childhood gems; so resist the temptation.

This group is by invitation only.

AUG Assignment 1 - RED
Red, crimson, cardinal, rouge, rusty - just some of the words to describe RED. Look for variations of red that create patterns, symmetry, or asymmetry.  (DUE 08-08-10)

JULY Assignment 1 - SHADOWS
Usually, when we are taking our shots, we try to eliminate shadows caused by uneven light. Consider shadows as an element of your composition. Look for the direction of the sun or use artificial light to create patters and bring out detail. Watch for the interplay of light and dark to give your shot some drama.
